My interest in massage therapy began nearly 15 years ago, when life lead me to a 10 year career as a pastry chef in Boston.  With long, physically demanding workdays, I found my body responding with varying areas of tension and discomfort.  Regular massage sessions afforded me ease from the discomfort and a much better quality of life.  In 2015, I realized that continuing as a pastry chef was placing too high a demand on my physical and emotional well-being, so began a 2 year long process of figuring out where life would take me next.

I traveled to India to complete a 200hr Vinyasa Yoga teacher training, as well as a 100hr Yin Fascial Yoga teacher training, having begun practicing yoga in 2003.  Returning to Ithaca, my hometown, after nearly 16 years away, I still sought direction.  I decided to attend the Finger Lakes School of Massage, and completed the 1000hr program in December 2017.  For as long as I can remember, I've been drawn to helping people, yet had been searching for an appropriate avenue to do so professionally.  This combined with an ever increasing fascination with how the human body works found me feeling incredibly at home practicing massage.  I'm thrilled to have gone straight into private practice, sharing a beautiful office space in Fall Creek with LMT and doula/birth educator, Kate Dimpfl.
I am equally as thrilled to be offering yoga instruction- private and small group classes in my office space (see yoga page for more details).  I look forward to working with you!
